The CAT Exam Pattern 2025 will be released by the IIM along with the information bulletin and notification at the official website. It is expected that it will be similar to the CAT 2024 Format with the total questions asked being 68. The CAT Exam 2025 consists of three sections - VARC, DILR, and QA, conducted in a duration of 2 hours in three shifts. CAT 2025 Exam Pattern
The CAT 2025 Exam Paper consists of 68 questions from section - VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension), DILR (Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning) and QA (Quantitative Ability). There are lots of changes has been made to the CAT Exam Pattern (in 5 years). Now, the CAT 2025 Total Marks will be 204 instead of 198. Candidates appearing for CAT 2025 must make themselves familiar with the current exam pattern before starting to prepare for the exam. CAT Exam Pattern - Year Wise Changes

What Does Each Color on the Panel Indicate?

The sectional timing for general category candidates is 40 minutes and for the PWD category candidate 60 minutes.
How many marks will be deducted for unattempted questions?
There will be no penalty for unattempted questions in the CAT exam.
Can a candidate answer the question as per their choice?
No, candidates cannot answer the question as per their choice. They have to follow the chronology.
