The ICAR AIEEA and AICE SRF/JRF 2025 application form for both PG and Ph.D. courses has been released on the official NTA website. The application window for these programs is open from 6th May to 5th June 2025 (up to 5:00 PM), and the exam will be conducted on 3rd July 2025 in computer-based mode. These entrance exams-AIEEA (PG) for postgraduate and AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) for doctoral programs are conducted by NTA for admission into agriculture and allied science courses. What is ICAR AIEEA and AICE?
The All India Entrance Examination for Admission is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to select candidates for various UG,PG and Ph.D programmes in these institutes. The ICAR AIEEA UG is conducted to select candidates for the 15% seats in the Bachelor Degree Programme in Agriculture and Allied Sciences at Agricultural Universities and an award National Talent Scholarship in Agriculture and Allied Science Subjects.
Similarly, the ICAR AIEEA PG is conducted to select candidates for the 25% seats in the Master Degree Programme in accredited Agricultural Universities and an award ICAR-PG Scholarship or National Talent Award in Agriculture and Allied Sciences.
The ICAR AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) is conducted for admission to doctoral programs and to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) to eligible candidates in Agriculture and Allied Sciences at recognized institutions.

ICAR AIEEA and AICE Eligibility Criteria 2025
To appear for the ICAR exams, candidates need to meet certain eligibility rules. These rules are different for UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses. For ICAR AIEEA UG and PG, candidates must check the required qualifications, age limit, and nationality. For Ph.D. Admissions through AICE JRF/SRF, the eligibility criteria are separate and specific to doctoral programs. Make sure to keep all the necessary certificates and documents ready to prove your eligibility during the application or admission process.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification listed for the UG and PG exams are as follows
For UG Candidates
Candidates who are applying for the UG Courses should have the following educational qualification.
- Indian National candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Indian National candidates who have appeared for the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
For PG Candidates
The educational qualification required for PG candidates is as follows.
- The candidates must have passed graduation with four/ six (12+4/ 10+6 BSc Ag.) OR
- Must have passed graduation with five years (BVSc & AH) OR
- Must have passed graduation within five and half years (BVSc & AH).
- The candidates must have passed their graduation from the institutes accredited by ICAR.
For Ph.D Candidates
- Candidates must have completed a postgraduate degree (Master's) with a minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) as specified by ICAR.
- The postgraduate degree must be from a university accredited by ICAR.
Age
The age limit given for the UG and PG courses is as follows.
For UG Candidates
Indian Nationals who have completed the age of 16 years as on 31st August 2025 are eligible to apply for the exam.
For PG Candidates
Indian Nationals who are not below the age of 19 years as on 31st August 2025 are eligible to apply for the exam.
For Ph.D Candidates
- Candidates must be 20 years or older to apply.

->ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AlCE JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) 2025 registrations began on 6 May 2025 and will continue until 5 June 2025 (up to 5 PM).
->ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AlCE JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) fee payment can be done till 5 June 2025 (up to 11:50 PM) through online modes.
->ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AlCE JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) application correction window will be open from 7 to 9 June 2025.
->ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AlCE JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) exams will be held on 3 July 2025 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

Number of Attempts
There is no specific limit given for the number of attempts in both UG, PG and Ph.D.exams.
Minimum Marks
The minimum marks listed which have to be attained by the candidates in their qualifying examination are as follows.
For UG Candidates
Candidates who are applying for the UG Courses should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The candidates who come under the SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwD category have a relaxation. They have to score a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
For PG Candidates
The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with at least
- 6.60 on a 10-point scale (5.60 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 5.88 on a 9-point scale (4.98 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 5.22 on an 8-point scale (4.42 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 4.57 on a 7-point scale (3.87 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 3.92 on a 6-point scale (3.32 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 3.25 on a 5-point scale (2.75 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 2.60 on a 4-point scale (2.20 for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
- 60% marks if the results are available on the marks system. (50% for SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD candidates)
For Ph.D Candidates
To apply for Ph.D. programs under ICAR, candidates must have completed their Master's degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an OGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale if they belong to the General, OBC, UPS, or EWS category.
For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD categories, a minimum of 50% marks or an OGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale is required.
These requirements may slightly vary depending on the university and specific Ph.D. program, so candidates should also check with the institution they are applying to.
Nationality
The candidates must be Indian Nationals to be eligible to write the exam. The candidates must satisfy all the other eligibility criteria listed also.
Reservation
A certain number of seats for the courses are reserved for certain category candidates. The reserved category candidates are also given a relaxation in the minimum marks for the qualifying examination.
