TNPSC DEO Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2022

The TNPSC DEO Exam Pattern is divided into three stages of selection for recruitment as per the latest notification. Candidates are required to go through all three stages and score more than the Cut Off to be selected for the role of a District Educational Officer. The exam is conducted in three stages:

• Preliminary
• Main Exam
• Interview

Preliminary

• The paper will consist of multiple-choice questions
• There will be a total of 200 questions
• The paper is conducted for 300 Marks.
• The duration to complete the preliminary exam is 3 Hours.

Mains Exam

• The exam consists of four papers. 
• Paper-I, Paper III & Paper-III will be descriptive in nature. 
• Paper IV will be of objective type 
• Each paper is for 300 Marks except Paper I which will be of 100 marks.
• The duration to complete each paper is 3 Hours.

Interview

The final stage of the selection process is an interview round. This round will be conducted for a total of 120 marks. When a candidate clears all three stages with good marks, he is selected as a District Educational Officer in the TNPSC Commission.
