UCEED 2025: Result Out, Scorecard Download Link From 10 March!

UCEED Result 2025 is out! IIT Bombay has released the result for the UCEED 2025 on 7th March, 2025 on the official website @uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED Scorecard 2025 download will be available from 10th March to 11th June, 2025. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year for admitting candidates to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program at UCEED participating colleges. Merely appearing for the UCEED Exam or securing a spot in the UCEED rank list does not guarantee admission to BDes programs. Candidates who qualify for the UCEED exam need to separately apply for admission as per the procedure prescribed by IIT Bombay. 

• In UCEED 2025, admission to BDes courses is made based on merit in each category.

UCEED 2025 Exam Highlights

What is UCEED? 

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year for admitting candidates to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program at participating colleges. 

Merely appearing for the UCEED exam or securing a spot in the UCEED Rank list does not guarantee admission to BDes programs. Candidates who qualify for the UCEED Exam need to separately apply for admission as per the procedure prescribed by IIT Bombay. 

Admission to BDes courses is done based on merit in each category. The merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates in the written entrance exam. Aspirants can go through UCEED statistics and can refer to the previous year's question papers to ace the exam with a good score. 

UCEED 2025 Important Dates

The critical dates to be noted for the UCEED Exam 2025 are as follows. 

UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2025 

Candidates can refer to the points below to check if they are eligible for the course they want to apply for. The Eligibility Criteria for the UCEED Exam are based on the Age Limit, Educational Qualification, etc. 

Aspirants from any category, Open/ SC/ST/OBC, PwD, PIO/OCI/ foreign national need to fulfill all the below-mentioned UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2025 to be allowed to appear for the exam. Both Indian and foreign nationals can apply for the UCEED 2025 exam. Aspirants meet UCEED eligibility if they fulfill the below-mentioned criteria:

Age Limit

Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, if they belong to the General/Open/EWS/OBC-NCL category, and on or after October 1, 1995, if they belong to SC/ST/PwD category.

Number of Attempts

Candidates who meet the UCEED age criteria can take the exam maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Candidates need to obtain the UCEED rank to secure admission to the BDes program at colleges accepting exam scores. UCEED score is valid for one year and is applicable for admission only in the corresponding academic year.

Academic Qualifications

Aspirants who have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent in 2024 OR are appearing for the exams in 2025 fulfill the UCEED eligibility criteria. Candidates who have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible to appear for the UCEED exam. Candidates from all streams, that is, Arts & Humanities, Science, and Commerce are eligible to apply for the UCEED exam. 

• Aspirants who are not citizens of India and do not belong to the PIO/ OCI category need to register for the UCEED 2025 Exam under the foreign nationals category. 
• Candidates applying for the UG level design entrance exam under the foreign nationals and PCI/OCI category are not included in the reservation of seat category. 
• Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total available seats in the course. The availability of supernumerary seats will be announced at the time of seat allocation. 
• Candidates belonging to OCI/PCI category belong to the open category and not to the supernumerary category.

Candidates who clear the UCEED Exam are listed in the merit list released by the official body. The candidates can follow the following steps for the selection process. 

UCEED Exam 2025 Registration Process 

UCEED exam registration process commenced on October 1, 2024. Check quick steps to apply for UCEED 2025 exam below: 

• Visit the official website
• Click on the UCEED registration link
• Read the given details and click on the Registration Portal button
• Enter the email ID with which you want to register and click on ‘Register’ 
• Check email and click on the activation URL 
• Fill all the required details in the registration form and submit it
• Note down the application number and password 

Further Application Process

• Log in to the registered account using application number and password that you noted
• Fill all details asked in the UCEED application form 
• Give preference for three UCEED exam cities 
• Upload the scanned copies of all the prescribed documents 
• Pay UCEED application fee in online mode

UCEED 2025 Syllabus 2025

The IIT Bombay has released the syllabus of UCEED 2025. It contains the topics that candidates had to follow to prepare for the exam. So it would help if the candidates go through the syllabus of their desired course to get an insight into the UCEED exam pattern. 

The UCEED Question Paper is divided into two parts - A and B. The syllabus for UCEED 2025 comprises topics to study for each part of the undergraduate level design UCEED 2025 entrance exam. UCEED 2025 Syllabus comprises topics related to drawing products, scenes, and objects in proportion with good line quality, perspective, composition, proportion as well as shading.

UCEED 2025 Syllabus for Part B Exam 

Part B of the UCEED Exam comprises a drawing question that aspirants need to attempt on an answer sheet provided to them in their exam hall. This drawing question evaluates candidates based on their understanding of proportion, perspective, shading, and composition. Aspirants appearing for UCEED 2025 need to have a prep plan in place when preparing for this design entrance exam.

UCEED 2025 Admit Card

Candidates must log in with their registration credentials to download their UCEED Admit Card 2025. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter information such as their registration number/full name, date of birth, and course. 

The UCEED Admit Card included information such as the exam date, exam group, test center address, exam day guidelines, and candidates' personal information. On the day of the computer-based exam, candidates must bring with them a valid photo id proof along with the admit card.

Step 4: Enter your email id and password

Step 5: On successful login, the admit card will be displayed in downloadable PDF format

UCEED 2025 Exam Centres

The candidates will be allowed to select the exam centers of their choice during the application process. The selection of the exam center cannot be changed after the generation of hall tickets. Hence, the candidates should select the exam center carefully. The UCEED exam will be conducted across 24 cities in the country. Candidates have to select three UCEED exam cities in order of preference at the time of filling out the application form. The detailed specification of exam centers is given below.

UCEED 2025 Answer Key 2025

Following the Examination, the UCEED 2025 Exam Answer Key has been made available. Candidates can access it by going to the official website. All the answers in the answer key will be listed in the order in which they were asked during the examination.

• The draft answer key contained the official answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidate can use the keys in tandem with the question paper to calculate probable scores.
• If the candidate has any objections against the draft answer key, they can file their complaints through the candidate portal till January 27 (5 pm); comments or objections sent by mail or other modes will not be accepted.
• It may be noted that the order of questions in the question paper may vary for each candidate, so they must use the Master Question Paper for uploading their complaints/queries.
• The candidates' responses for Part A - UCEED 2025 can be downloaded only till the declaration of exam results.

The final answer key of UCEED 2025 was released on January 31, 2025. 

UCEED 2025 Result 

The UCEED 2025 Result has been released by IIT Bombay on March 7. Candidates can check UCEED results by using their login ID and password. All candidates who have appeared in the UCEED 2025 Exam can download the scorecard starting from 10th March, 2025 onwards. The last date to download the UCEED Scorecard 2025 will be 11th June, 2025. 

Shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling and seat allotment process. UCEED score 2025 will be valid for one year from the date of declaration of the result. 

How to check UCEED Results? 

The results of UCEED 2025 have been released for all candidates who have appeared in the national-level design entrance exam. The steps to check UCEED results are given below: 

• Visit the official website
• Click on the UCEED 2025 Result link portal 
• The candidate will be redirected to a log-in window 
• Enter your registered email ID and password
• Click on the “Login” button
• On successful log-in, the results would be shown on screen 

UCEED 2025 Cut Off 2025

IIT Bombay will release UCEED Cut Off for the 1st three rounds of seat allotment. Cut Offs have been released category-wise for the five participating institutes in the form of opening and closing ranks. UCEED 2025 Cut Off is the minimum rank one needs to secure for admission to the B.Des program.

The admission Cut Off is prepared by considering factors like seat intake, UCEED 2025 merit rank, total applicants, and admission category.

• Scores obtained by candidates in Part A of the question paper are used to shortlist candidates for evaluation of Part B paper. 
• The final merit rank is prepared by considering the total UCEED score, which is calculated by adding Part A and Part B marks. 
• UCEED merit rank is used for admission in colleges accepting UCEED 2025 scores for admission. 
• The Part-A (UCEED 2025) qualifying cutoffs are released in the form of mean and standard deviation:

Formula to calculate UCEED 2025 Part A score 

The Cut Offs (𝛿) for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the Open category will be 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of UCEED 2025. 

The 𝜇 and 𝜎 will be rounded off after the first decimal place. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfill a relaxed Cut Off mark. In the formula used, 𝛿 is the Cut Off mark for Open category students. The formula to calculate the UCEED cutoff for different reservation categories is mentioned below: 

• 0.9𝛿 for OBC-NCL
• 0.9𝛿 for EWS
• 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST
• 0.5𝛿 for PwD 

Important Changes in UCEED over the Years

There have been no major changes in the UCEED Exam over the past few years. 

Important Points for UCEED 2025

Candidates can refer to the following points and be prepared accordingly on the exam day.

• Candidates must arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled time at the UCEED Exam Center.
• Every candidate is advised to thoroughly check all of the information on their Admit Card, including their Name, Photograph, Signature, Registration Number, Examination Center, Medium of Examination, Dates, Timings of Examination, etc. 
• Candidates must bring an Admit Card and a Student Identity Card issued/authorized by the Institute to the Examination Centre to establish their identity, otherwise, they will be denied entry.
