• Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; 
• Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; 
• Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph. D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; 
• Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

8. Candidate must publish at least two research papers from his/her Ph. D. work out of which at least one paper must be in a refereed journal.
9. Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work during their course.
10. The aspirants whose  Master’s Degree Programme in disciplines accredited test for NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted will not be required to produce this certificate. 
11. There is a 5% relaxation in the required percentage for the  Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Differently-abled (Physically and Visually differently-abled) categories including the Other Backward Classes (OBC - non-creamy layer).
12. A 5% relaxation will be provided to the candidates of the Ph.D. Degree who have achieved their masters degree before Sept 19th, 1991.
13. The amount of time taken for the candidates to achieve the M. Phil. and / or Ph. D. Degree shall not be considered.

Note: There will be no grace marks given for the educational eligibility. For example, if a candidate scores 49.1% or 54.1% these marks will not be rounded off to  55% or 50% respectively to satisfy the eligibility.
