Aggrading Rivers:

These rivers collect sediments and build up their bed by silting.

As the silting process goes on, the bed slope of aggrading rivers get increases, which is shown below.

Aggrading rivers are also known as Accreting Rivers.

Important Points

The rivers which displace sediment and carry on scouring are known as degrading rivers.
The river which curves and bends back and forth across the landscape and swings from side to side is called the meandering river and this process is known as meandering.
In the absence of rain, many seasonal rivers show depletion inflow in the dry season because the source of water starts depleting.
