Calculation:
Let the number of males be 24x
Then the number of females = 25x
The increased number of males = 24x × 130% = 24x × 1.3 = 31.2x
The increased number of females = 25x × 140% = 25x × 1.4 = 35x
The new ratio of males and females in the college = 31.2x : 35x
⇒ 31.2 × 5 : 35 × 5
