Given:

Three partners A, B and C started a business.

A invested of the total capital, B invested 60% of the remaining capital and C invested the rest.

At the end of a year, the total profit was Rs. 18 lakhs.

Concept used:

In the case of a partnership, the profit is always shared according to the ratio of investment made.

Calculation:

Let the investest amount be 30p.

A invested = 30p/3 = 10p

B invested = (30p - 10p) × 60% = 12p

C invested = 30p - 10p - 12p = 8p

Ratio of their investment = 10p : 12p : 8p = 5 : 6 : 4

Now, the difference between the shares of the profit of A and C

⇒ 18 lakhs ()

⇒ 18 lakhs × 1/15

⇒ 1.2 lakhs = Rs. 1,20,000

∴ The difference between the shares of the profit of A and C is Rs. 1,20,000.
