Fundamental Rights refer to the rights of an individual as laid by the Constitution of India.

Important Points

The Supreme Court of India is the highest court in the country.

Apart from making final decisions on any matter, Supreme Court is also the custodian of Fundamental Rights.
There are six fundamental rights in the Indian Constitution.
They are- right to equality, right to freedom, right against employment, right to freedom of religion, cultural and educational rights, and right to constitutional remedies.
The fundamental rights protect the citizens from any exploitation and power from the state and other individuals.

From the above, it is clear that Supreme Court is the custodian of Fundamental Rights in India.
