Bihar Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Motor Vehicle Inspector. The notification states that there 28 vacancies to be filled for this post under the Transport Department, Bihar Government. BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Selection process includes a written exam and an interview test. Candidates need to score the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam to become eligible for the interview stage. The marks obtained in both stages will determine the ranking of candidates in the final merit list which will be published on the official website.

BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Selection Process 2025 - Stages

The recruitment for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector has two stages (written and interview). Applicants need to score the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam after which candidates will be called in for the final interview stage. The written exam is conducted for a total of 300 marks in which there will be three sections - Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III. BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Selection Process 2025 - Written Exam

We know, the first stage in this recruitment process is the written exam. This exam is divided into three sections - Paper-I (General Studies), Paper-II (Automobile/Mechanical Engineering) & Paper-III (Motor Vehicles Acts). All of the questions will be of objective type MCQs with each question carrying one mark. Candidates do not have to worry about any deductions for wrong answers as there is no negative marking in this exam.

BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Selection Process 2025 - Interview 

On securing the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam, you will be called in for the interview stage. This exam is conducted for a total of 150 marks which is divided into three parts namely

• The experience of the candidate in Diploma years - 9 marks in total.
• Specialization in either Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Personal Interview - 25 marks.

After the completion of both the rounds, BPSC will display the final merit list on the official website. This merit list ranks the candidates as per their performances in both the Written and Interview exams.
