Additional Information ਕਿਰਿਆ : ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਰਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵਿਆਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ:- ਨੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਆਦਿ।
ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੇਠਲੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਹਨ:
1) ਅਕਰਮਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ → ਅਕਰਮਕ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਕਰਮ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਾਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਕਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਬਲਕੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਅਕਰਮਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
2) ਸਕਰਮਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ → ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅਕਰਮਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਵਾਕ ਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਅਪੂਰਨ ਅਕਰਮਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
