Work done per day:

A's 1 day work = 1 ÷ 15

B's 1 day work = 1 ÷ 18

A works for 5 days

⇒ Work done by A in 5 days = 5 × (1 ÷ 15) = 5 ÷ 15 = 1 ÷ 3

Remaining work = 1 − 1/3 = 2/3

B does 1 ÷ 18 of work in a day

⇒ Number of days B takes to complete 2 ÷ 3 work = (2 ÷ 3) ÷ (1 ÷ 18) = (2 ÷ 3) × 18 = 12 days

Thus, the correct answer is 12 days.
