Aspect ratio of an image = width/height

Here we have given a image with size 1024 × 768 pixels.

Width = 1024 pixels

Height = 768 pixels

Aspect ratio = 1024/768 = 4/3

Also, width changes to 640 pixels while aspect ratio remain same.

So, \(\frac{4}{3} = \frac{{640}}{{height}}\)

\({\rm{height}} = \frac{{640\; \times \;3}}{4} = 480{\rm{\;pixels}}\)

Height of resized image will be 480 pixels.
