x - 1/x = 3

ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ആശയം:

a3 - b3 = (a - b)3 + 3ab(a - b)

കണക്കുകൂട്ടൽ:

x3 - 1/x3 = (x - 1/x)3 + 3 x x x 1/x x (x - 1/x)

⇒ (x - 1/x)3 + 3(x - 1/x)

⇒ (3)3 + 3 x (3)

⇒ 27 + 9 = 36

∴ x3 - 1/x3 ന്റെ മൂല്യം 36 ആണ്.

Alternate  x - 1/x = a ആണെങ്കിൽ, x3 - 1/x3 = a3 + 3a

ഇവിടെ a = 3

x - 1/x3 = 33 + 3 x 3

= 27 + 9

= 36
