Concept:

Turbidity:

It is the extent to which light is scattered or absorbed by the suspended solids present in the water.

Causes of turbidity:

  • Due to suspended and colloidal particles
  • Due to some immiscible liquids like clay and silt.

Impacts of turbidity:

  • Psychological Impact
