Who among them sits third left of G ?

Given: Eight persons A, G, M, O, P, U, X and Z are sitting around a circular table. Four of them are facing towards the centre (inward direction) while rest four are facing away from the centre (outward direction). No three consecutive persons facing in same direction.

1) M sits third to the left of O, who faces towards the centre.

2) Z and M sits immediate left to each other.

3) Z sits second to the right of P. So, case 2 further divided into two parts ,i.e., P either face inside or outside direction.

4) Two persons sit between G and U.

5) The person who sits opposite to A is an immediate neighbour of G who doesn’t face M. So case 1 and 2(a) are eliminated which cannot fulfil the condition 4 and 5.

6) The immediate neighbour of G faces in same direction. Hence, the final arrangement is as follows.

7) A sits to the immediate right of Z. 

Therefore, from the above final arrangement, we see that U sits third left of G.

Hence, U sits third left of G.
