RRB NTPC Cut off for Typing Skill Test (TST)
The typing skill test is conducted for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) posts. To qualify at this stage, candidates need to secure the cutoff marks set by the board.
RRB NTPC Cut Off for Document Verification
Candidates are called for document verification based on their performance in CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts). The examination authority decides RRB NTPC Cut off marks to call candidates for document verification. Candidates clearing the document verification are called for a Medical Fitness Test.

RRB NTPC Normalization Process
RRB NTPC cut-off is calculated based on the normalized scores. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of questions since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The scores are normalized using the equi-percentile method.

- An = Normalised Score of a Candidate
- S1 = Standard Deviation of raw marks of Candidate Session
- S2 = Standard Deviation of raw marks of Base Session
- Yav = Average of raw marks of Base Session
- A = Raw marks of the candidate which is to be normalized
- Aav = Average of raw marks of Candidate Session
RRB NTPC Cut Off - 1st Stage CBT Minimum Qualification Mark
The RRB NTPC 1st Stage CBT Examination is qualifying in nature. 1st Stage CBT Exam is conducted for 100 marks. On the basis of RRB NTPC Minimum qualification marks, the candidates are shortlisted for RRB NTPC 2nd Stage CBT Examination.

Note: These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
RRB NTPC Psycho test
The CBAT or Psycho test is taken to assess the motor skills of the candidates. The details about the NTPC Psycho test are given below.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test is conducted for Station Master and Traffic Assistant while Typing Skill Test is held for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper
- The shortlisting for Skill Tests such as the Computer-based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done 8 times the number of vacancies based on the merit of second stage CBT.
- The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
- This applies to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
- The CBAT will have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi
- There will be no negative marking in CBAT.
- Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.
RRB NTPC Skill Test
The candidates have to appear for a skill test to qualify for the RRB NTPC Exam. The details about the skill test have been mentioned below.
- Qualifying in nature.
- Eight times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
- The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
Factors Affecting the RRB NTPC Exam Cut off Marks
The cut-off marks will never be consistent every year, it changes year to year by various factors, The cut-off marks vary for different categories, here are the factors that are affecting the cut-off.

RRB NTPC Cutoff – Score Calculation
To calculate your scores candidates must have a basic idea about the RRB NTPC scoring terminology of the RRB NTPC exam.
RRB NTPC Raw Score – Once you have attended the RRB NTPC Exam it's time to check your cut-off score. But to calculate your scores you must know the calculation method. Therefore we have curated RRB NTPC raw scores. RRB NTPC raw score is the marks obtained by the candidate in the primary stage. RRB NTPC exam comprises questions that hold 1 mark each. For every wrong answer attempted 0.33 marks will be deducted.
For example, If person X attempts 60 questions in total in CBT 1 exam. Among these questions, 12 are the wrong answers. In this case, the Raw Score can be calculated as:
60 – 12 – (1/3 * 12)
60 – 12 – 4 = 44
Here, 44 is your raw score.
