संकल्पना:

एक वृत्त के लिए सामान्य समीकरण (x - h)2 + (y - k)2 = rहै, जहाँ (h, k) केंद्र है और r त्रिज्या है। 

दो बिंदु (x1, y1) और (x2, y2) के बीच की दूरी निम्न दी गयी है,

गणना:

अंतःवृत्त का समीकरण x2 + y2 + 6x – 8y + 21 = 0

⇒ x2 + 6x + 9 – 9 + y2– 8y + 16 – 16 + 21 = 0

⇒ (x2 + 6x + 9) + (y2– 8y + 16) – 9 -16 + 21 = 0

⇒ (x + 3)2 + (y - 4)2 = 4

∴ केंद्र (h, k) = (-3, 4) और अंतःवृत्त की त्रिज्या = 2
