Given:

Ratio of students in CS, EC, CE, and ME branches = 11 ∶ 5 ∶ 6 ∶ 7

Formula Used:

Percentage of students in a branch = (Number of students in the branch / Total number of students) × 100

Calculation:

Let the number of students in CS be 11x, in EC be 5x, in CE be 6x, and in ME be 7x.

Total number of students = 11x + 5x + 6x + 7x

Total number of students = 29x

Number of students in CS and ME = 11x + 7x = 18x

Percentage of students in CS and ME branches = (18x / 29x) × 100

⇒ Percentage of students in CS and ME branches = (18 / 29) × 100

⇒ Percentage of students in CS and ME branches = 0.6207 × 100

⇒ Percentage of students in CS and ME branches = 62.07%

The percentage of students belonging to CS and ME branches in the college is 62.07%.
