Solution:
The time it takes for two objects moving at different speeds to meet again on a circular track is equal to the time it takes for the faster object to lap the slower one.
The relative speed of the cars is 90 kmph - 72 kmph = 18 kmph.
The time it takes for the faster car to lap the slower car is 3.6 km / 18 kmph = 0.2 hours = 12 minutes.
