Rate of rice type 2 = ₹21/kg

Rate of mixture = ₹17/kg

Formula used:

Using the rule of alligation:

Ratio = \(\frac{\text{Rate of type 2 - Rate of mixture}}{\text{Rate of mixture - Rate of type 1}}\)

Calculation:

Ratio = \(\frac{21 - 17}{17 - 11}\)

⇒ Ratio = \(\frac{4}{6}\)

⇒ Ratio = 2 / 3
