Given:

Two variety of rice worth Rs. 80 per kg and Rs. 50 per kg respectively are mixed with another variety in the ratio 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 3.

If the mixture is worth Rs. 75 per kg.

Calculations:

Let the price of third variety is Rs. x per kg

Ratio of first, second and third variety of rice in the mixture is 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 3

Let amount of first, second and third variety of rice in the mixture are 1 kg, 2 kg and 3 kg respectively

⇒ Total quantity of the mixture = (1 + 2 + 3) kg = 6 kg

⇒ Total amount of the mixture in Rs. = 1 × 80 + 2 × 50 + 3x = 180 + 3x

∵ Price of the mixture per kg in Rs. 75

⇒ (180 + 3x) /6 = 75

⇒ 180 + 3x = 450

⇒ 3x = 270

⇒ x = Rs. 90/kg

Hence, The Required value is Rs.90/Kg.
