Module of a gear is the ratio of Pitch circle diameter to the number of teeth on the gear, i.e. \(m=\frac{D}{t}\)

Calculation:

Given:

D = 240 mm, t = 40

Therefore, \(m=\frac{240}{40}=6~mm\)
