Given:

Radius of the cylinder, r = 7 cm.

Curved surface area, CSA = 2200 cm2.

Formula Used:

Curved Surface Area (CSA) = 2πrh

Total Surface Area (TSA) = 2πr(r + h)

Calculation:

Given CSA = 2200 cm2

We know CSA = 2πrh

Using π = 22/7

⇒ 2200 = 2 × (22/7) × 7 × h

⇒ 2200 = 2 × 22 × h

⇒ 2200 = 44h

⇒ h = 2200 / 44

⇒ h = 50 cm

Now, TSA = 2πr(r + h)

⇒ TSA = 2 × (22/7) × 7 × (7 + 50)

⇒ TSA = 2 × 22 × (57)

⇒ TSA = 44 × 57

⇒ TSA = 2508 cm2

The total surface area of the cylinder is 2508 cm2.
